Mindfulness Meditation

Are you interested in meditating, but just don’t know how? Do you think you “can’t meditate,” because you tried and couldn’t focus your mind? Do you find meditating in a group helpful, or just want some guidance?

If you said YES to any of these questions, this group is for you! The concept of “mindfulness,” has gained popularity in recent years for good reason. Mindfulness meditation is shown to reduce stress, sharpen thinking, and increase happiness – as well as many more benefits!

This series will introduce you to various forms of mindfulness meditation, including teaching you practical ways to incorporate these techniques in your everyday life. All experience and levels welcome!

Day: 3-week series offered on Wednesdays
Time: 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Cost: $175 per series

Stress Management & Emotional Balance

Let’s face it: modern living can be emotionally and physically draining. Family and work obligations often trump self-care, leaving our nervous systems primed to be in “fight or flight” mode due to the constant stressors that we face.

This 3-week series is designed to help you:

  • Learn practical strategies that you can use right away to reduce stress
  • Develop skills to manage emotional ups and downs, including anxiety and depression
  • Feel empowered to take control over your mental and physical health

Strategies taught during this workshop include meditation, breath work, the use of sound, aromatherapy, and other mindfulness practices.

Day: 3-week series offered on Wednesdays
Time: 5:15 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Cost: $195 per series

Yoga for Emotional Balance

Do you want to feel energized? Are you looking for ways to calm your mind and body? This workshop teaches empirically-supported approaches to reduce stress, improve mood, sleep and maintain emotional balance. This workshop will include the following practices to help you to achieve equanimity in your mind, body and spirit:

  • Breathwork to regulate mood
  • Yoga postures to energize the body
  • Mindful movement to develop “presence”
  • Guided meditation to relax and restore
  • Guided somatic imagery to manage difficult feelings
  • Yoga nidra for deep relaxation and improved sleep
  • Sounds (mantra) and hand gestures (mudhras) to seal practices, energize and relax the nervous system

A mindful lunch will be served. You will learn everyday practices that you can use on your own. All experience and levels welcome!

Day: 5-hour workshop offered on Saturdays
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Dr. Nenemay is a Licensed Clinical Psychologists and certified yoga instructor, with specialized training in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Life Force Yoga.
