Navigating insurance can be stressful – especially when you’re not feeling your best. To help ease the process, Therapy Changes collects your insurance information when you schedule your first visit, receives a quote of benefits, and reviews this information with you during your initial appointment.
We are in-network with the following insurance providers:
Please note: We do not participate in EAP (Employee Assistance Program) benefits
You may need to find a therapist who’s covered by your insurance. Or, you might prefer a self-pay model. Paying out of pocket maximizes your privacy and allows far greater discretion in your care. When you use your insurance, you’re also giving permission for your therapist to share certain information – like your diagnosis and treatment details – with the insurance company in order to approve and pay for your care.
Making a private pay arrangement with your therapist keeps your diagnosis and case notes confidential and out of third-party systems.
This may be particularly important to individuals with professional licenses, government workers, or others in sensitive positions who wish to limit the disclosure of mental health information.
When you use insurance, personal details – like your diagnosis – must be shared to approve care. Paying out of pocket gives you greater privacy and keeps your records confidential. It’s a powerful choice to protect your information and stay in charge of your care.
If your insurance provider is not listed above, you may still be eligible for out-of-network benefits. In this case, you can submit a superbill (a statement of your payments) to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement.
If Therapy Changes and its providers are not in your plan’s network, you may also contact your insurance provider to locate an in-network option and lower your out-of-pocket costs.
