My Philosophy and Approach

My approach to therapy is collaborative, holistic, and action oriented. I work from an integrative mental health model that recognizes that mental health is influenced by a variety of factors, including biological, psychological, social, and spiritual domains. I aim to provide a more comprehensive approach to wellness, recognizing the interplay between mind and body and emphasizing the importance of individualized care. This means that I work alongside you to fully understand the complex issues you’re facing and explain the rationale for the approach we take to address these problem areas.

I utilize action-oriented therapy techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help you identify and overcome the barriers that stand in the way of creating the empowered life you desire. As a Certified Integrative Health Professional, I will also assess the impact of nutrition, exercise, sleep, environmental toxins, and other areas on your mental health and suggest evidence-based interventions to support your health, from the inside and out.

What You Will Experience Working With Me

It is important that you feel safe in therapy to explore your deepest pain and worries, without judgement or criticism. I strive to build a strong, trusting relationship with each of my clients to facilitate that safety. As a growth and goal-oriented therapist, I balance providing a compassionate space while also helping my clients challenge themselves to confront the discomfort that hinders positive change and transformation. Therapeutic approaches are tailored to your unique needs, preferences, and circumstances, and often involve collaboration between various health care providers. You can expect our sessions to be a blend of skill work and processing, often ending with practical action steps or homework for the week.

I invite you to take the first step toward a positive change in your life. Together, we will work towards your goals and foster your personal growth.
