
Shanni Tal, Psy.D., PMH-C, is a licensed clinical psychologist and a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C) in California who provides individual therapy in a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel respected, supported, and heard. Dr. Tal helps her clients build insight into their experiences, deepen self-understanding, and feel empowered to create meaningful change.

As a perinatal mental health specialist, I provide support for individuals navigating the emotional challenges of the perinatal period, including birth trauma, reproductive loss, and postpartum anxiety and depression. I help new parents adjust to identity and role changes, find balance amid the demands of caregiving, and reconnect with a sense of self and wellbeing. My goal is to offer a compassionate and validating space where you can process, heal, and feel empowered in your journey through parenthood.
My work is inclusive and affirming of diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBTQ+ community, healthcare workers, first responders, working professionals, new parents and students.
