My Philosophy and Approach

When we experience profound life experiences, life transitions, or trauma, the way we view ourselves and the world around us changes. We feel disconnected, alone, and want to hide the parts of ourselves that we feel ashamed of. I provide you with a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your past and learn about your emotional responses and patterns. My goal is to help you feel empowered by a new and compassionate understanding of yourself.

My approach to therapy is warm and understanding. I apply skills from evidence-based approaches and utilize a holistic framework focused on the mind-body connection. I am passionate about helping clients that are struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship issues and trauma. I have experience working with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds and members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as healthcare workers, working professionals, first emergency responders, and students.

What You Will Experience Working With Me

In our therapy together you can expect respect, acceptance, and teamwork. I believe that you are the expert of your own life experiences, and I honor your unique perspective. We will work together to identify your values, better understand your motivations, and uncover the obstacles that keep you from living a fulfilled and content life.

I balance compassion and understanding with the motivation and encouragement you need to make the hard but necessary changes in your life. I don’t judge, and I don’t offer “cookie-cutter,” generic advice. I will introduce creative solutions to problems and help you develop strategies that work for you. I look forward to helping you feel empowered and confident and living your life in a way that is in-line with your values.
