My Philosophy and Approach

My practice is action-oriented, while maintaining a personalized, warm, and collaborative approach. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques integrated with Feminist Theory. This approach involves confronting challenges that are the result of bias, oppression, and discrimination, restructuring unhelpful beliefs, and empowering positive change.

I describe my approach as person-centered, which means I approach treatment within a cultural context. I enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and respect the path that is uniquely right for you. I specialize in treating trauma, depression and anxiety, with a specific interest in working with survivors of narcissistic abuse and adult children of emotionally immature parents. I empower my clients to make the changes they need to live fulfilled and successful lives.

What You Will Experience Working With Me

My clients enjoy my direct, yet empathetic approach and appreciate the practical guidance that I provide. I am committed to helping you feel safe and comfortable in therapy and provide you with the tools and strategies you need to address your concerns.

When working with LGBTQ+, it is helpful to have a shared lived experiences and a common language between us. I know how challenging it can be to share openly about your concerns, particularly if they are about abuse, trauma, and intimacy-related matters. As such, I offer gender affirming care, including gender affirming letters of medical necessity. I honor the courage it takes to seek the support you need, and I look forward to meeting you.
