My Philosophy and Approach

We try our best to cope with stress, but sometimes it can all become too much. You don’t have to brave it alone. You deserve support. As an Armenian American therapist, I am passionate about reducing the stigma in seeking support for underrepresented individuals of all backgrounds and cultural identities.

I apply evidence-based practices from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients using treatment approaches that work. Many of my clients are new parents or in the perinatal period coping with tiny humans taking over their lives. I also work with individuals looking to build resilience against trauma, healthcare workers struggling with personal concerns, as well as college and graduate students who are navigating life transitions. My honest and warm approach helps my clients feel safe throughout the therapeutic process.

What You Will Experience Working With Me

As a therapist I believe that a trusting relationship helps clients feel comfortable sharing and exploring concerns that can otherwise feel vulnerable. Therapy with me is conversational, authentic, and goal oriented. I am passionate about empowering clients to make reasonable changes that alleviate distress.

In therapy you’ll learn to increase flexibility in your thinking so that you are less vulnerable to stress. I use mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, values exploration, and cognitive behavioral strategies to help my clients better manage their concerns. As a mom of two young children, I offer lived experience to help my clients get through challenges as new parents.
