My Philosophy and Approach

I believe that therapy is a partnership. Together, we will work toward goal-oriented, forward movement. I value therapeutic tools that are grounded in research and will offer evidence-based approaches to treat your symptoms.

I have seen Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) give people the spark they need to make meaningful changes in their lives, and I will collaborate with you to find the path forward that feels right for you. My experience in medicine, sports, and the military has shaped me into a well-rounded psychologist who approaches every person with cultural curiosity, openness, and compassion.

What You Will Experience Working With Me

Serving in the Navy taught me a number of important lessons. I learned how to help people navigate difficult times by empowering them to focus on what they can control and make changes that support their long-term goals. My time in combat also taught me that sometimes there are no words, and what people need most is for someone to be present with them.

I believe these experiences have shaped the work I do at Therapy Changes. I have worked with individuals awaiting lung transplants, those struggling with infertility, those living with chronic migraines and pain, those striving for peak performance in fighter jets, on the volleyball court or on the baseball field, and those surviving the aftermath of traumatic loss.

Through it all, I have learned that every person’s journey is unique, and I am committed to meeting each client with compassion, respect, and a genuine desire to help them move forward. I look forward to partnering with you, drawing on my experience and training to help you navigate challenges, build on your strengths, and work towards lasting change.
