Janessa Lin is an important part of the Therapy Changes team as the Administrative Assistant. Janessa received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University where she was active in the psychology and music departments. She loves psychology and conducted research on Suicidal Ideations and Self-Injurious Behaviors with San Diego Youth Services and on the Michelangelo Phenomenon with her professors at PLNU. Janessa has worked in a variety of San Diego non-profits both in administrative and direct service roles. Her experiences range from working as a Residential Counselor at a local Youth Emergency Shelter, Family Violence Response Team Associate at an Alternatives to Detention program, Site Supervisor at the Federal Unaccompanied Minor Emergency Intake Shelter this past summer, to Human Resources Administrative Assistant at a local non-profit. She is passionate about working with at-risk and homeless youth with trauma informed care and strives to always respond in a compassionate and empathetic manner. In her free time, Janessa can be found running her photography business, working out, trying new foods, or exploring National Parks.
Janessa values warmth, effective communication, and authenticity, and is excited to use her experience and expertise to support the Therapy Changes team and clientele as the Administrative Assistant.
