Paul Paris, Ph.D.

Paul Paris, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and believes deeply in the power of positive human connection, which is reflected in the honesty, trust, and undivided attention he extends to all in his care. Dr. Paris is interactive, solution-focused, and provides compassionate support and practical feedback to help those he works with effectively address personal life challenges.

Dr. Paris cultivates healing therapeutic relationships with warmth, gentle humor and creativity. His approach is collaborative, safe, non-judgmental and empathetic, with the intention to help his clients navigate difficult life transitions in a manner that is in-line with their core values.

Areas of Specialization
Dr. Paris specializes in working with adults and older adults with mood disorders such as Depression and Anxiety as well as grief and loss-related issues. Specific areas of focus include working with men in the areas of empowerment, stage-of-life transitions, intimate relationships, addiction recovery, and LGBTQ+ identified clients. Using action-oriented techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Paris offers a highly personalized approach tailored for each client by integrating a variety of complementary methodologies into his practice.

Dr. Paris provides services in both the Point Loma office and the Rancho Bernardo office in San Diego, California. To accommodate busy schedules, he also offers evening appointments in Rancho Bernardo.
