I am excited to join the team at Therapy Changes, and I look forward to providing high-quality care to our clients. Because we continually change and grow in our life journey, there are times when all of us need help. I consider it an honor and privilege for the opportunity to help people when they want to address challenges and improve the quality of their lives.

Our time is precious in today’s fast-paced world. I believe in utilizing the most effective and expeditious techniques to help individuals overcome challenges and enhance their satisfaction with life in a practical manner. As such, I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). My guiding question in working with clients is “How can I help them in the quickest way and provide them with the results they want?”

As a therapist, I believe that every client is the expert in his or her life. My role is to collaborate with each of them to develop a shared vision of treatment and action plans, to crystallize goals, and mutually explore challenges along with solutions tailored to the individual.

Continuous assessment and feedback are important to me to ensure that clients achieve the results they want. Toward that purpose, I focus on every client’s strengths to incorporate their unique capabilities in treatment. I believe that everyone has the capacity for constructive change. In therapy, I want to help individuals reconnect with their strengths and abilities to move them towards that change in a way that resonates with their unique backgrounds and experiences. Therapy is not done to you, it is done with you!

For as long as I can remember, I always wanted to conduct my life in ways that would help others and reduce their suffering. As I continued to explore my educational goals and career, I found psychology a fascinating and worthwhile profession that resonated with that life goal. I have years of experience working with a variety of individuals in different settings (forensic, residential, outpatient), including those who lost a great deal of their previous functioning — such as jobs, relationships, housing — as a result of mental health challenges. Watching my clients change, grow, and regain their sense of joy and functional abilities again, have been some of the most rewarding experiences for me as a clinician.

I consider myself fortunate for the opportunity to continue working with clients at Therapy Changes.
